Description

Natural, just in and in great shape, these are perhaps Martins best sounding guitars in the lineup. Hide Glue construction and VTS (vintage tone system) baked wood and braces. All with tastefully applied distressing. Aged Martins also have an exclusive thin finish that adds to the unique tone. Aged Martin guitars will go down in history showing Martin can really dial in that visual, tactile and auditory experience that no one else can. Has Authentic 1937 forward shifted scalloped 5/16” top bracing, Baked Adirondack Spruce top. This particular top has a real authentic look in its grain and lack of mineral streaking. Also has great looking and sounding Madagascar Rosewood back and sides nicely book matched. Other features: the nut width is 1 3/4” and the scale is 25.4”. The bridge is made of fine ebony with the vintage long bone saddle and the pins are aged faux ivory. The neck is Genuine Mahogany (google that term), the binding is grained ivoroid, the fingerboard is ebony with authentic 1937 diamond and square abalone inlays. The head plate is also Madagascar Rosewood and the tuners are aged nickel Waverly open backs with butterbean buttons. What we can’t put into words is the tone. The first strum will tell you this a special guitar with deep deep bass, well defined mids and lush treble. No, your 70’s or 80’s Martin does not sound like this. Even stacked up to new guitars costing much more these aged Authentic’s are the end of the line. Comes with the original custom shop deluxe hard case.
