1976 Martin D-35 Natural
Natural, Sitka Spruce top, three piece Indian rosewood back, nice clean example of Martins “Buick”, the upscale D-28 with the three piece back to enhance bass response. This one came to us from out of
storage. We humidified it and then put it through the shop to reglue two braces and the bridge. So now it’s Wow! A really great example, no cracks, no real fret wear, never had a pickup or a strap button. The lacquer is gently faded yellow but not too dark. Has the original Grover tuners.
The bass is big with long sustaining notes, easy low action, and a fairly low saddle. The case is from the 70’s but not an original Martin. This is a nice find.
