Style 45, the numbering is only given to guitars that are made from the highest quality materials available, and only by the hands of the most selective and skilled craftsmen. It is truly a top of the line Martin model.

After a long hiatus from the pre-war period, the company began reproduction in 1968. In the early years of reproduction, high-end woods such as German spruce and Hakaranda were used, which are still sold at premium prices.

This time, we have a 1980 model in stock. The body top is made of Sitka spruce, the side backs of Indian rosewood, and the fingerboard and bridge are made of ebony. This is the year that the pegs were changed from Grover to Schaller. This model is equipped with Schaller pegs with the original Martin logo. The pickguard has been replaced.

The sound is also first class.
The high end is gorgeous and glossy, just like a D-45.
The SQ rod construction produces a deep, deep bass and long sustain. The elegant tone with a sense of calmness and gravity is appealing.

The exterior of the instrument is in excellent condition and does not show the age of more than 40 years. There are no cracks. The finish is original, with little tanning and the spruce is white and elegant. The Kawase Gakki sticker on the back of the head is still there, which tells the story of how this instrument was imported to Japan and displayed at the famous Kawase Gakki store. The original hard case also still has the Kawase Gakki sticker on it. Many people who were longing to have one someday in their hands at the store back then! I'm sure many of you were longing to have one someday! It is a wonderful gem that makes you feel as if you have gone back in time.

- Neck and wood parts thoroughly inspected and adjusted by acoustic guitar specialist.
- Neck was reset after arrival at our store, and the neck is in straight condition, with no chatter or clogging.
- String height on the 12th fret: 2.3mm on the 6th string side, 1.8mm on the 1st string side
- Saddle protrusion: approx. 2mm-2.5mm
