Style 45, the numbering given to guitars that have received the highest quality wood and are made by the hands of the most skilled craftsmen available. It is truly a top of the line model from Martin.

After a long hiatus from the pre-war period, the company began reproduction in 1968. In the early years of re-production, high-end woods such as German spruce and Hakaranda were used, and they are still sold at premium prices. Prewar is no different.

The D-45 introduced here is a D-45 made in 2003.
As a 2003 production year, there are no major scratches that stand out, and it is a beautiful piece.
However, the nut, frets, and pickguard have been replaced, indicating that it has been customized according to the tastes of previous owners.
This kind of attachment can be felt, which is one of the charms of used guitars.

As is typical of the Style-45, the wood is very fine-grained spruce, and the side backs are quarter-sawn rosewood.
While the current standard model has a 44.5mm nut width and non-scalloped X-bracing, this 2003 model has a 43mm nut width and scalloped X-bracing.
While the current model offers a more "clean" sound, this model impresses with its spacious and open sound.
The elegant spread of each string can only be experienced with a "Martin D-45" and it is easy to see why so many guitarists desire this model.

[CONDITION]
- The top of the body is moderately browned, as is typical of this period.
- There are some scratches on the pickguard and some other marks in places, but there are no cracks or crack repairs, and it is a beauty considering its age of over 20 years.

- Neck angle has been corrected/refretted.
- Neck is straight, no chatter or clogging.

- String height at 12th fret: 2.5mm on 6th string side, 2.0mm on 1st string side
- Saddle protrusion: approx. 3mm
