Martin DX Johnny Cash Acoustic/Electric, Jett Black
In the early 1970s, Martin was commissioned to design an all-black lacquered D-35 for country star Johnny Cash. The new design of that classic model comes in the form of the Martin DX Johnny Cash guitar, designed in collaboration with John Carter Cash and the Cash Foundation management team. It features a classic dreadnought body shape constructed with Jett black high-pressure laminate top, back and sides.
The black birch laminate Performing Artist neck is smooth and comfortable to play, home to a dashing richlite fingerboard that has the custom inlays with stars and the CASH logo. Johnny Cash's signature also appears on the rosette and label. This model comes with Fishman MX electronics for easy amplification.
