The first D-35 with a three-piece back body was introduced in 1965.
Originally developed in the 1960s when wood was in short supply, the three-piece-back model was developed so that it could be made without large pieces of wood, but it is still popular today for its great sound and attractive appearance.

The HD-35 has been in production since 1978 and features herringbone ornamentation and scalloped bracing reminiscent of prewar Martins.

The backstrip has the same zigzag pattern as the HD-28, giving it a special feel.
It is equipped with the original locking tuners common around this time for more stable tuning.

The dynamic and sparkling bouncing sound is impressive, perhaps due to the scalloped bracing.

- The neck and wood have been thoroughly inspected by a craftsman specializing in acoustic guitars, and no repairs are needed.
- The neck is in straight condition and there are no chattering or clogging issues whatsoever.
- String height on the 12th fret: 2.5mm on the 6th string side, 2.0mm on the 1st string side.
- Saddle protrusion: approx. 2mm-2.5mm
- Bridge pins/end pins/pickguard replacement
- Neck end binding shows some filling work
- No cracks/crack repairs

- Includes an adjustment support warranty by a craftsman specializing in acoustic guitars with a track record of approximately 2,000 repairs/adjustments per year.
