Presenting the all new Mesa Boogie DynaPlex Overdrive Pedal. You already know MESA® Pedals are built by the very same artisans that create the Award Winning Mark Five™, the legendary Dual and Triple Rectifier® and the soulful new vintage-voiced offerings, Fillmore and California Tweed amplifiers. Now here are three exciting new hand-built overdrive pedals spanning the entire range of gain and stylistic spectrum. The new Mesa Boogie DynaPlex™ goes straight to the heart of mid gain Brit, beyond Classic Crunch and ‘70s Rock sounds with a tactile feel and truly versatile, broad gain range. Whether feeding on Single Coils or Humbuckers, the personality shines through in the most classic of ways with a ripping harmonic edge and cracking attack filled with attitude. A treasure trove of crunch rhythm awaits at the lower end of the Gain control, fatness and liquidity creep in just where you’d expect when gain is cranked for single note work, both keeping dynamic excitement front and center. The DynaPlex™ features a hidden EQ switch on the circuit board accessible from the bottom under the removable Lid, that offers a more scooped, mid-dipped EQ curve. When engaged, this switch softens the Brit, mid-forward character of The Dynaplex for a leaner sound. Like each and every MESA product, these pedals are built using the same quality components and craftsmanship and are filled with the inspiring performance found in Mesa's custom amplifiers... all of which are hand-built in their only Shop in Petaluma California, USA.... the Home of Tone®! Controls: LEVEL is the master output level and it controls the amount of signal provided to the host amplifier, GAIN determines the amount of gain (overdrive) in the signal path, PRESENCE increases or decreases the overall brightness of the pedal, TONE provides simple, global adjustment of the entire range of frequencies with one control. DIP SWITCH is a selectable EQ Voicing Switch located in the lower right edge of the bottom circuit board inside the unit under the Bottom Plate. Removing the Bottom allows access to this switch offering you two EQ curves. Select either a Mid-Scooped EQ response that excels at Rock Chording with the EQ ON setting (as Shipped) or a flatter, punchier, more equally balanced response that retains the Midrange frequencies and fills in the sound with the EQ OFF. The latter can be effective for single note soloing, especially at lower gain settings where you may want more focus, definition and body. Again, the unit is shipped set to the EQ ON/Mid-scooped position. Push the dip switch toward the Left to remove EQ circuitry and obtain midrange balance and a more even response. Switches: True Bypass On/Off Switching - Bypasses all circuitry when off to ensure no tonal loss, Led Indicators: On/Off Status LED Power Requirements: 9V Battery Powered or optional AC Powered via External Power Jack Input. WARNING!!! To avoid immediate damage and voiding the warranty, the External Power Supply MUST be 9VDC with a NEGATIVE CENTER plug polarity and a jack plug size of 2.1mm x 5.5mm. Current Draw: 9VDC/15mA Input Output Jacks: Input & Output Jacks (Nominal Input -20 db) Input Impedance: 1M Ohm (500k Ohm minimum) Output Impedance:10k Ohm Switching Type: True Bypass Dimensions: 4.77 x 2.87 x 2.32
