The Ovation Collector's Series was launched in 1982 as an annual premium model.

In 1999, the "Ovation 1999 Collector's" was released as a piece that was appropriate for the milestone of the era.
Its most distinctive feature is the red waterfall bubinga top.
The beautiful, flowing grain of the wood colors the entire guitar like a red waterfall.

Bubinga wood is so hard and heavy due to its rarity and also known as African Rosewood, and its excellent vibration characteristics produce a rich sound.
In this model, bubinga wood is used not only for the top but also for the peghead, creating a powerful presence.
The combination with the gold pegs further accentuates the rarity of this collector's model.

The mid-depth cutaway body provides an excellent fit and the bound ebony fingerboard provides smooth playability.
The simple design, devoid of superfluous decoration, accentuates the luxurious feel of the materials themselves.

The built-in Optima preamp features a chromatic tuner and 4-band EQ, and has Hi-Z and Lo-Z balanced outputs for connection to a PA or console without a direct box. A low-noise design and notch filter provide clear, flexible tone control and feedback protection.

- The neck and wood have been thoroughly inspected by a craftsman specializing in acoustic guitars, and no repairs are needed.
- The neck is straight and free of any chattering or sound clogging issues.
- String height on the 12th fret: 2.7mm on the 6th string side, 2.0mm on the 1st string side.
- Saddle protrusion: approx. 3.0mm-2.5mm
