Yeah, I admit it. I'm a Fly junky. I know they are a bit weird, but they are killer electric guitars. You have to try one to understand. Some are even better than others, like this one for instance. This is a year 2000 Parker Fly Select Series Artist. This guitar was built when Ken Parker still owned the company and reflects his original design, but has the improved "Generation 2" DiMarzio pickups. The Artist model comes with a Sitka Spruce body which has been carved from a single piece of specially-selected tone wood. The neck on Select Series guitars is made of Basswood. Both the body and neck are reinforced with carbon fiber for strength and minimal weight. The fingerboard is made of an extremely smooth composite material and the frets are made of virtually impregnable stainless steel. Electronics include the aforementioned DiMarzio humbuckers, along with a Fishman Piezo system providing a wide range of tonal options. It also includes Parker's custom cast Aluminum trem bridge with stainless steel saddles. This guitar plays and sounds superb. This instrument is in excellent plus condition. You will not find a nick or ding anywhere, although upon close inspection, at the right angle and correct light, you will find a bit of clearcoat haze on the top and back. While this guitar has been treated with love, it is afterall, a 12 year old instrument. Includes its original Parker molded case, trem arm, stereo cable, extra trem spring, truss rod tool and paperwork. An incredible guitar (IMHO).....
