Description

Offered here is one of my favorite guitar models and one that is among the most flexible and beautiful guitar designs available, a PRS Hollowbody. This is a "II" version of the Hollowbody and it has a "10" grade flame maple top and back. We have three (3) versions of this model in stock as of this writing, so it should be pretty obvious that we think highly of this design.

This is a fully hollow, 22 fret, 25" scale guitar. As noted above, it has "10" grade flame maple top and back and the sides and neck are made of mahogany. It is finished in PRS' 'Black Cherry' finish. The neck, with binding for this model year, has PRS' Wide/Fat neck shape (now known as the "Pattern" shape) with depth measurements of .865" at the first fret increasing to .950" at the twelfth. The electronics include PRS' 57/08 TM humbuckers along with LR Baggs piezo elements built into the adjustable stoptail bridge. Controls include a three-way switch for the humbuckers, volume, tone, blend and a three way switch for the piezo. The original owner added custom bird inlay tuner knobs, rosewood control knobs and upgraded the three-way switch. Otherwise, this guitar is as it came from the factory. This exquisite guitar weighs just 5.8 pounds.

With it's combination of magnetic pickups and piezo electronics, there isn't much this guitar can't do. It is one of the easiest and most comfortable to play electrics on the market and is so naturally loud and resonant that you can enjoy it anytime, even without amplification. It is also beautifully-built and it's construction is much like that of a fine violin. The built-in piezo electronics give you an added dimension to your tone palette and you can easily mix it's magnetic and acoustic electric voicings. The tone is superb, with a voice that is somewhere between that of a PRS solid body and a Gibson ES-335. Check out the brief sound sample of this guitar included below.

This instrument was built in 2012 and is in excellent + condition. There are no flaws of any significance and the frets are like new. It comes in its original hardshell case along with the paperwork shown.

A new example of this magnificent instrument will now cost you over $7K. Save yourself a bundle versus a new one and make this versatile, elegant, featherweight beauty for thousands $ less. Click the "Buy Now" button and make it yours today.
