When playing chords, the balance of each string is good even when distorted, creating a rough drive sound with a fast attack and a strong, prominent edge. Turning the FAT switch on increases the gain in the lower register and produces a thicker sound.
A single-contact true-bypass circuit is used to improve reliability and reduce signal loss.
