Description
Summary: Named after Ted McCarty, a pioneer of the electric guitar and musical instrument industry, the McCarty model embodies the most up-to-date findings from PRS and looks back to the golden age of the guitar. This vintage-appointed guitar features a bound, 22-fret Pattern neck, a slightly thicker back for enhanced tone and sustain, and McCarty treble and bass pickups. Paired with a push/pull tone control and a 3-way toggle pickup switch, these pickups provide a complete palette of tones. The McCarty model is anchored by a PRS stoptail bridge with brass studs for added resonance and vintage-style tuners.

Body: Mahogany with a flamed Maple top, finished in Royal Blue.

Neck: (Wide Profile) Mahogany with an East Indian Rosewood fingerboard, Moon inlays, 25” scale length, 1.682” nut width.

Pickups/Hardware: McCarty treble & bass pickups (Push/Pull tone pot), vintage style Keystone tuning keys, stopbar tailpiece, three-way pickup selector.

Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape. It has some small surface dents on the body. There is a finish repair (See Photos Please) on the headstock. There is a small chip in the finish on the back edge of the body and other places where the gloss finish has come off down to the paint. These are all consistent with a guitar of this age. Overall, this guitar plays and sounds amazing.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10’s. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.

Weight: 7.365 lbs.

Case: This guitar ships in the original case, professionally packaged, and fully insured.
