The magnificence of a Custom Shop instrument is elevated tremendously when you strike the first note — the 2012-model Fender 1959 Precision Bass Relic is certainly no exception, with a stunning good look, superb playability and awesome tonality that will leave you begging for more. Masterfully-built in America, it's decorated in a Vintage White Over 3-Tone Sunburst relic'd finish to give it the appearance of years on the road.
This bass has a comfortable alder solidbody complete with a D-profile maple neck home to a rosewood fingerboard, adorned with twenty narrow tall frets and a gold pickguard. The hand-wound P-Bass split single-coil pickup produces a powerful thump of a low end, controlled by a volume and tone setup for an easy range of vintage sounds to dial in.
This bass is in Excellent condition, as the relic finish makes it look like it's been worn, but in reality there are nearly no issues aside from two burn-through marks on the headstock from a guitar hanger. There is an estimated 95% of fret life remaining. The bridge and pickup covers are included in the hard shell case.
