2019 Rick Turner Renaissance California Series Pair Sunburst

New to the shop is pair of 2019 Rick Turner/Renaissance California Series guitars. These guitars were designed by master luthier Rick Turner to deliver the finest acoustic tones plugged in on stage or in recording studios. Both of these guitars are just 2 of 100 instruments made. The bodies are semi-hollow with bookmatched tops and backs that are all cut from the same piece of California Redwood. Also, the sides are solid western red cedar and there is a centerblock that runs the full length of the interior to provide a foundation for the D-TAR Timberline pickup. Both guitars necks are made from mahogany and feature a two way truss rod that allows for a full range of neck relief and adjustment.

Super unique to these guitars is the Timberline Piezo pickup system designed by Rick. It's a simple system that has a internal trim potentiometer for bass equalization of up to 4 dB of boost at 100 Hz, a common frequency for resonance in acoustic guitars. In addition there are dented controls mounted on the upper bout of the body for volume and a smooth treble roll-off tone control.

Lastly, these guitars offer the Deuce Magnetic pickup option. This option allows you to separate the volume and tone control circuits and separate output jacks so you could plug into a amplifier or PA. The end result is that you have two guitars in one. Essentially an electric with a humbucker that can be split for a single coil sound and an amplified acoustic sound that will deliver gorgeous plugged in acoustic tones. These guitars are truly one of a kind and very rare. They'd make a great addition to anyone's collection! Each comes with their original hardshell cases.
