Who buys vintage guitars? We do!
Call 530-570-1525 or email sales@maharsvintageguitars.com to sell your vintage guitar, bass, amplifier, etc - one piece or a collection! We are always ready to buy instruments, amps and effects from Fender, Gibson, Martin, Epiphone, Rickenbacker, Gretsch, Marshall, Vox and just about anything else related to musical instruments.
These old Ricky steels are the basis for solid body electric guitar design - the first step in rock and roll history that took another dozen years or so to result in the development of the Telecaster by Leo Fender.
Early Rickenbackers bear the traditional German spelling of the name: Rickenbacher, as does this Model B.
The instrument is 100% original and works perfectly. All it needed on the way in was a cleaning of the pots. There is some wear, as you might expect, but less than typical for an instrument that is 86 years old. One knob is cracked but still holds on tot he pot and works just fine.
This steel carries the more desirable, 1.5" horseshoe magnet pickup.
The original case has been recovered.
Also included is a vintage lap steel stand - a key device that makes this either a musical furniture piece that you can leave at the ready for impromptu play or a vital on-stage feature that you can hop to mid-song or mid-set.
Also included is a vintage cable. It looks to be quite old, though I can't imagine that it is original to the instrument. One of the bakelite plug housings is cracked.
