Now available on consignment, a 1965 Rickenbacker 360-12-string in its original Fireglo finish.
This particular example comes from the 'ED' serial number range, dating it to 1965. The guitar shows some play wear to the frets, some buckle rash and marks to the body.
Work to the guitar includes:
At some point other tuners were fitted on the bass strings (not the octaves). The ferrule holes have been enlarged, particularly on the top and bottom e strings.
The truss rod cover has been replaced at some point with extra holes on the headstock.
The 'R' tailpiece is a replacement, as is the strap button on the horn.
At one point a strap button was added at the heel, now removed.
Otherwise the guitar retains its most of its original parts including its two original toaster pickups, bridge, wiring harness, knobs, and floating pickguard.
The neck angle is good, playing with a low action at the 12th fret. Its recently been professionally setup by Sydney luthier Piers Crocker, and is subsequently playing great!
Includes a modern Rickenbacker case.
