Here we have a 1979 Rickenbacker 4001 bass in Fireglo finish. This bass is in excellent all-original condition minus a couple of tiny dings and some finish loss on the back. The Fireglo finish is vibrant and the overall appearance of this bass is outstanding. A really fine example of a late 70s 4001 Ricky.
Basic Specs: Nickel tuners. 1 11/16 inch nut width. Maple neck with a 33.5 inch scale length. Neck depth is .90 inches at the first fret and .94 inches at the twelfth fret. Bound Rosewood fingerboard with triangle inlays and a 7.25 inch radius. 20 frets with some moderate wear and divots. Original pickups and pots with Rick-o-Sound stereo outputs. 4-saddle bridge with foam rubber mutes. Fully set up in-house to play its best.
Awesome bass. This is the one you want. And fortunately for you, it’s for sale. Comes with its original black tolex hardshell case and its original blue Warranty card. How cool.
