1973 Rickenbacker 4001 Bass Checked Binding Toaster Mapleglo

All original. Mapleglo finish.
Transition model with mostly pre 73 features.
Checkered binding, toaster neck pickup, Grover wavy back tuners.
One tuner back likes to pop off.
73 style inlays.
Bass plays & sounds great.
Crack in guard by neck pickup adjustment screw. Thumb wear spot on front of body.
Some belt buckle on back.
Frets are excellent , as the bass had flatwounds most of its life.
Neck is straight but truss rods have the typical Ric bend & are hard to adjust.
Some nice peekaboo flame.
Overall 8/10 condition-wise.
Weighs 9.4 lbs.
Comes with the original hardshell, though 2 latches were replaced.
