Summary: The Classic Rickenbacker bass - famous for its ringing sustain, treble punch and solid underlying bass. A subtle strip of binding graces the elegantly curved body and the Rosewood fingerboard. Deluxe triangular inlays and stereo capability are standard features. This particular bass was made in 2011 & it sounds and plays great – it also ships with the original hard-shell case.
Body: Solid-body Rickenbacker with a FireGlo finish and a fully bound top.
Neck: Maple neck with a fully bound rosewood fingerboard, Deluxe triangular inlays, 20 frets, 33.25” scale length, nut width is 1 11/16”.
Pickups/Hardware: Chrome hardware, 2 single coil pickups, mono & stereo output, Rickenbacker Schaller Deluxe open-back tuning keys, pickup cover, standard 4 knob setup & a 3-way switch. The bridge has string mute which is engaged by two thumb-wheel screws on either side.
Cosmetics: This bass is in close to immaculate condition and has only a couple very small dings in the finish on the top and back. There are some light pick scratches on the pickguard as well. Overall, this bass is in excellent lightly used condition and has no major scratches or dents and has no breaks, cracks or visible repairs.
Playability: This beautiful 4003 Bass plays and sounds great – the action is low & the bass can be adjusted to suit the needs of any player & any playing style. It is strung up with flat wounds right now and it feels really nice.
