1967 Rickenbacker 615 black OHC
Pretty stellar guitar! The GG date code puts it at July 1967, and the pickups and electronics sound great! This guitar came from a good customer and friend, who bought it off Reverb from a store that has been in the business a long time, and he paid up. After I got it I saw some things under the finish that made me think it has been refinished, but taking it apart all the solder joints look unboogered with, so going to reduce the price- looks like black over Fireglo. The guitar is in nice shape, but the finish has worn though on some of the edges, either from an arm or clothes, or whatever. Plays great, minimal fret wear, original case with what looks like the original strap. The trem arm and bridge cover are in the case. The little cap is missing off the small knob, the pictures tell a good story. Thanks for looking!
