The purchase of this steel was one of those experiences that fell right in line with the reasons why I love this business. I took a trip outside of town to pick it up a couple Saturdays ago and met a really nice couple, people who know old friends in the music scene in the area. They showed me their beautiful home in the hills and the shop where the gentleman who owned the steel makes mandolins. It was a great afternoon!
The steel is a really nice piece with that tone that you can only get from a Rickenbacker with that big 'ol horseshow pickup.
The nut on this piece was replaced with a really skillfully made piece. Check out the pictures. Everything else is original and fully functional.
There is no case included, but you'll want to keep this one out and available as musical furniture anyway.
