マイク・マシューズ氏率いるエレクトロハーモニクス社の技術者ボブ・マイヤー氏によってデザインされた最初のBIG MUFF πは'71年に誕生しました。ノブの配置から"トライアングルマフ"と呼ばれています。本モデルは"トライアングルマフ"の極初期にあたるTriangle V1 Firstのサウンドを再現します。
ここまで研究、設計されたペダルは過去にはありませんでした。迫力あるサウンドはもちろんのこと、ヴィンテージ独特のガサガサ感(並のパーツを集めただけではこの感触が得られません。)、十分なサスティーンとムワァ〜っと湧き上がり飽和するハーモニックスを伴ったサウンドは、ファズマニアなら誰もが虜にされてしまうほどでしょう。
ミニスイッチは、左側でtriangle MODE、真ん中でLOWCUT MODE、右側で+MID MODEになります。+MID MODEは、粗荒さを生かしながらハイミッドを追加することで、バンドアンサンブル内でも際立つサウンドを再現できます。
