Yoshiyuki Kikuchi, who trained under founder Roger Sadowsky in the art of instrument making and mastered the art of hand craftsmanship, is a luthier with the honor of being authorized to make Sadowsky guitars and basses in Japan.
His Sadowsky Tokyo guitars and basses have been loved by many players for their precision that approaches that of the original Sadowsky guitars and basses.
This JT/T has a solid ash body and a BADASS II bridge.
The controls are Master Vol, PU Balancer, Treble boost, Bass Boost, and Preamp Switch (on/off).
The PU was an external product when it arrived at our store, but has been replaced with a Sadowsky J/J Style (SAC PU J4 S SC) at our store.
The solid ash body, maple fingerboard, and BADASS bridge give the guitar a hard sound with a quick startup, making it a perfect match for slapping.
The EQ is limited to boosting Treble and Bass, but Sadowsky's charm lies not only in its don-shari sound, but also in its wide range of sound.
This is a different luthier from Sadowsky NYC, and you can feel the luthier Mr. Kikuchi's character.
The pickguard has been retrofitted, but the black parts give it a unified finish!
