With its 30" scale, it can bestrummed like a guitar or plucked like a bass. EMG Active 81/89RPickups with coil-tapping and 3-way switch are on board to offer awide variety of humbucker and single-coil type tones.The contouredmahogany body is topped with a fine layer of Quilted maple foradded beauty and tone. A TonePros bridge and Schecter lockingtuners permit perfect intonation and accurate tuning.

Schecter Locking Tuners
Schecter Locking Tuners feature a locking screw pin to lock thestring into place for greater tuning stability. Details include a19:1 gear ratio allowing for precise fine tuning adjustments,removable knobs, threaded peghead bushing, and a 10mm diameter peghole.

Rosewood Finger Board
The most common fretboard, Rosewood is naturally oily, and workswell for any surface that sees frequent human contact. The sound isricher in fundamental than Maple because the stray overtones areabsorbed into the oily pores.

Bridge: The 81TW dual-mode design allows for maximum flexibility,with the original 81 providing all the crunch and aggressivenessit's famous for and an all new single-coil that features a fattertone with plenty of punch and clarity. Neck: The EMG 89 is loadedwith alnico V magnets and has separate preamps each providingcustom outputs for both dual coil and single coil modes (R Versionuse REAR coil ). In dual coil mode, the sound is rich, warm andpowerful, but still very clear and is similar.

3-pc Mahogany w/Carbon Fiber Rods Neck
Made with 3 pieces of mahogany for extra stability. Where standardnecks may show aging defects throughout the years, the 3 piece neckwill remain straight for a lifetime of playability. Two CarbonFiber Rods are installed next to the Truss Rod for extra stability.Stronger than an equivalent volume of steel, Carbon Fiber cansupplement an adjustable truss rod to help prevent neck twisting.Carbon Fiber adds little weight, but adds significantstiffness.
