Selmer All Purpose 30 Combo Excellent
The All-Purpose 30 took both the Twin Lead 30 and Twin Bass 30 and combined them into one amp, hence All-Purpose. They corrected the problems with the overheating rectifiers in the Twins and upgraded the speakers to 12" Goodman speakers. A single channel amp with two inputs, a volume and tone control and a lead and bass switch. In 1970 they produced the front integrated chassis All-Purpose amp only for one year to later be replaced by the Compact 30 in 1971. This amp sounds incredible. The tone is clear and precise and when you drive the amp hard either with the volume cranked or an amp driver in front of it the break up is amazing. It is very well rounded and big sounding with a ton of clarity in the overdrive.
Previously owned by Chicago's own James Iha of the Smashing Pumpkins so this one has some good mojo in it.
