[Summary]
Selmer Paris made alto saxophone, Serie 3 with engraved pattern. Clear lacquer finish, selected by Toshihisa Ogushi, made in 2003, accessories: selection certificate, used semi-hard case (VICONA black / there is a crack on the hinge), price 726,000 yen (price of Jubilee 3 when discontinued in October 2021)
[Condition]
Bell rim has a history of repair (peeling lacquer and streak marks). Some parts of the bell tube, a large area of the back of the body, and the upper joint tube of the body are discolored (blackened). Lacquer paint is peeling at the tip of the key and on the side of the neck. (There are no pull-down or dent accidents on the neck.) Thumb hooks and thumb rest default to brass lacquer, though,Gold plated finish parts installed.The parts have been gold-plated. All keys disassembled and cleaned, all tampos (using genuine Serie 3 CHANU metal resonator without rivets), corks and felts replaced, overhauled and adjusted.

The Serie 3 alto was released in 1999, following the soprano and tenor models, and continued to be produced as the Serie 3 after the release of the Jubilee model (2010), but production ended in October 2021. The in stock item is the first Serie 3 before the Jubilee model, and it is attractive for its grainy pronunciation, bright sound, and ease of control. There are some discoloration on the paint and some sheet metal repairs on the bell rim, but the instrument has been disassembled, cleaned, overhauled, and adjusted, so it is ready to use comfortably.
