Handmade by Japan’s pedal building legend Shinichi Suzuki comes the Shin’s Music Dumbloid Special. These pedals capture that highly sought after D-style tone with a level of dynamics and touch sensitivity that can’t be beat. The gain you get from a Dumbloid is smooth and chewy, yet fully capable of cutting through the front of the mix with a full and throaty sound. From slight crunch to super saturated lead tones this pedal offers legitimate amp-like dynamics in a compact pedal.
In Jazz mode you can coax tones of many famous players from Robben Ford to Larry Carlton. The tone gets full, woody, and round characteristics. Kick it into Rock mode and you get more mids and focus a-la Robben Ford, Keith Urban, Santana. There is quite a bit of headroom in this pedal which can be used as an organic boost to a full on Overdrive Special! The Drive control gently ramps up the gain, while the Accent controls the sensitivity and dynamics that correspond with the input coming from the instrument. Dial it in for the perfect balance of sensitivity and cut.

Standard Dumbloid model with true Dumble cascading gain. Silky-smooth, malleable and very touch sensitive overdrive.
Dumbloid Special BTM
Standard Dumbloid model with true Dumble cascading gain with a more robust low end. Perfect for the studio.
Dumbloid 335 Special
Very similar to the standard Dumbloid Special. The modified circuit dials out some of the fuzz in the upper mid range and increases the dynamics. Very similar to Larry Carlton hence the 335.
Dumbloid Overdrive Special
Take the standard Dumbloid Special and give it some extra gain and low end. Think hot-rodded Marshall HRM. Nice low end with tons of gain on tap.

Each flavor of Dumbloid is available with or without Shin’s Velvet Boost. This independent low gain germanium boost hits the Dumbloid circuit to add more gain and offer even more range and versatility.

DOMESTIC (CONUS) - All orders within the contiguous USA SHIP FREE and fast direct to you via FedEx Ground. Guitars are always shipped with signature required. Orders to Hawaii or Alaska will incur an additional shipping charge. Overnight, 2-Day, and Express shipping is available for an additional fee. INTERNATIONAL - International shipping is available on all orders. Shipping charges are calculated at checkout. Customs duties are the responsibility of the buyer.
RETURN POLICY - At Distinctive Guitar customer satisfaction is our top priority. We are happy to offer you a 48hr approval period on all orders (excludes custom orders and layaways). Return arrangements must be made within 48 hours of receipt and must be authorized by Distinctive Guitar prior to shipment. Refunds on approved returns will be made in-full less shipping costs both ways and applicable credit card fees. Feel free to use your refund in-full on another "In Stock Item". In limited circumstances, returns outside the 48 hour approval window may be considered but are subject to a 15% re-stocking fee. Trades are considered final sale due to the large amount of shipping fees and risk associated with a trade transaction. We are happy to discuss approval prior to trading if required. Sale, clearance, demo, and NOS items are considered final sale and no refunds or returns are allowed on these items. All orders must be returned in the condition they were originally shipped within 5 business days after return approval.
