Excellent condition featuring symmetrical body with pink finish, one Gibson-made P-13 pickup, one volume control and one tone control with brown Bakelite knobs mounted to elongated metal plate, brown peghead face with stenciled Silvertone logo, raised nut, original three per side on a strip open gear tuning machines with white buttons, and maple fingerboard with dot markers.
This circa 1950 Silvertone 1319 lap steel is one of the coolest lap steels we have come across. The fantastic 1950s pink finish is stellar and makes for a truly eye catching instrument. This lap steel is in overall excellent cosmetic condition showing just some minor scuffs and dings on the back and along the edges. The original P-13 hump top pickup sounds great and the instrument is a pleasure to play. From Hawaiian to country and rock to blues, this lap steel sounds fantastic. It has an excellent clean tone and has all the edge you need for overdriven tones as well. The output jack is not original as this model was issued with a hard wired cable. The hole for this cable remains on the bass side of the body. Also, the tuner buttons have been replaced. If you are hunting for a fantastic looking and sounding lap steel guitar, this Silvertone is a solid choice. A gem of a guitar shipped safely and promptly from our little shop in Clarksville, Tennessee, to your front door.
