DESCRIPTION
For your consideration a 1971 Silvertone Buck Owens American in Red, White and Blue! Whether you remember this guitar from “Hee-Haw” or in the hands of Pat Smear (Nirvana’s Upglugged), iconic defiantly describes this model! As cool as these guitars look, they sound incredible too — it’s not just hype! Big open sound from this one and an awesome player with a wide neck. This one is in great shape overall with no major repairs and beautifully finish checking all over!

Basic Specs: A New Old Stock Buck Owens headstock veneer has been added. Original Nickel tuners with Pearloid buttons. Comfortable 1-3/4 inch nut width. Maple neck with a 25.125 inch scale length. Chunky round profile with a depth of .91 inches at the first fret and 1.06 inches at the twelfth fret. Rosewood fingerboard with 19 frets and a 12 inch radius. Rosewood bridge with adjustable saddle. Single-ply tortoise style pick guard has been reglued. Solid Spruce top. Ladder braced but has great tone and power.

This Buck Owens American guitar is the real deal. Made by Harmony in 1971, so it’s just turning 50 years old. It has many more decades of life to live and it’s just looking for a musical partner to share the experience. Take it home and you’ll be pickin’ and grinnin’ for sure. Would make for a killer rhythm guitar in the studio or an amazing stage guitar!
