Here we have yet another cool Slingerland Archtop from the 1930s. This one is the Nitehawk model. Red, silver, and gold sparkle designs adorn the classic open-book headstock, and man, they look great. The stacked diamond inlay is especially vibrant and clean.
Double bound body and neck. Original vintage sunburst finish with normal play wear that just adds to the vintage vibe. Original frets with some denting mostly on the lower frets, but quite playable. The fingerboard is nice and clean with attractive and unusual inlays. Bridge has been replaced and we re-glued a few areas of loose binding. Missing its pickguard.
This is one sharp looking vintage archtop. It also plays well and has a remarkably sweet tone. Came to us without a case, but we’ll supply one because this guitar deserves it! As you can tell we really like this guitar, and we think you will, too.
