Designed in collaboration with known session and touring guitarist Pete Thorn, the PT-100 is a two-channel, 100 watt tube amplifier, loaded with a “Plexi” output transformer, four EL-34 power tubes and a tube buffer effects loop.
The PT-100 clean channel offers a full range of American voiced clean sounds. The overdrive channel, distinctly British, features dual gain and level controls for independent rhythm and lead tones.
POWER UP / POWER DOWN
With the power switch in the OFF position and the Standback/Standby switch in the Standby position (O), flip the power switch to the ON (I) position. Wait sixty seconds, then flip the Standby switch to the Standback (I) position. This will prolong tube life.
To power down, simply switch the amplifier from Standback to Standby, then flip power switch to the Off (O) position.

CHANNEL 1 (CLEAN)
BOOST 1:
Engages an additional gain stage for Channel 1 for a smooth crunchy overdrive sound.
BRIGHT 1:
Adds brightness and sparkle to Channel 1.
GAIN 1:
Adjusts the overall gain level of Channel 1.
BASS:
Adjusts the amount of low end. Turning it clockwise increases the amount of low frequencies, giving you a fuller tone. Turning it counter clockwise will reduce the effect and tighten up the bottom-end which is useful when performing at louder volumes.
MIDDLE:
Adjusts the midrange. Turning it clockwise increases the amount of mids, giving your tone a fatter response. Turning it counter clockwise will produce a mid-scooped sound.
TREBLE:
Adjusts the top end. Turning it clockwise increases the amount of treble, giving your tone clarity and brightness. Turning it counter clockwise will produce a warmer sound which is excellent for dialing in smooth fluid-like lead tones.

CHANNEL 2 / 3 (OVERDRIVE)

GAIN 3 SELECT SWITCH (FOOTSWITCHABLE):
Selects between Channel 2 and 3’s Gain and Level controls. Effective for setting up independent rhythm and lead sounds.
CHANNEL SELECT SWITCH (FOOTSWITCHABLE):
Selects between Channels 1 and 2. To select Channel 2, press the Channel Select switch “IN”. The respective Gain 2 and Level 2 LED’s will illuminate.
FEEDBACK
Adjusts the overall feel of the power amp section from smooth and spongy at lower settings to tight and aggressive at higher settings.
PRESENCE
Adjusts the amount of high frequencies. Turning it clockwise will add more cut and sparkle.
WHOMP II SELECT SWITCH
Selects the amount of low-end resonance added to your amplifiers overall sound.
Full: + 4dB
Half: + 2dB
Off: Out of the circuit EFFECTS LOOP
The PT-100 comes standard with a tube buffered series effects loop which performs well with pedals and line-level rack gear. The return level control acts as the amp’s overall master volume and the Channel’s level controls will be your send levels.
FOOTSWITCH
The PT-100 comes equipped with a dual footswitch for remote control of channel selection and between Channel 2 and 3’s Gain and Level controls. A stereo (TRS) cable is provided.

RETURN POLICY - At Distinctive Guitar customer satisfaction is our top priority. We are happy to offer you a 48hr approval period on all orders (excludes custom orders and layaways). Return arrangements must be made within 48 hours of receipt and must be authorized by Distinctive Guitar prior to shipment. Refunds on approved returns will be made in-full less shipping costs both ways and applicable credit card fees. Feel free to use your refund in-full on another "In Stock Item". In limited circumstances, returns outside the 48 hour approval window may be considered but are subject to a 15% re-stocking fee. Trades are considered final sale due to the large amount of shipping fees and risk associated with a trade transaction. We are happy to discuss approval prior to trading if required. Sale, clearance, demo, and NOS items are considered final sale and no refunds or returns are allowed on these items.
