Takamine EG523 SC-12 w/hsc

Summary: Designed and built under the supervision of Takamine’s head luthiers, G-Series guitars are created to serve all players from the hobbyist to professional. The EG523SC 12-string jumbo is our largest body guitar. The solid spruce top gives you all the power you would expect from a guitar of this size. The beauty of the flame maple back and sides makes this a guitar you won’t want to put down. The gloss natural finish accentuates the beauty of the grain and protects the wood from the rigors of the road. Stage ready with TK40 preamp with onboard chromatic tuner. This Takamine is in fantastic shape, was just set up with low action by our in house luthier as well as restrung with a new set of strings. It ships in a nice black hardshell case.

Body: Solid Spruce top with flame maple back and sides, w/b/w binding on the top and single white binding on the back, abalone rosette, tortoise pickguard and single cutaway. Body depth is 5” and the width is 16 ¾”.

Neck: Maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, pearl block inlays with abalone triangles, 25” scale length and 1.915” nut width.

Pickups/Hardware: It has a TK40 preamp and pickup with built in tuner, rosewood bridge, closed back Takamine tuning keys and nickel strap buttons.

Cosmetics: This 12 string is in superb shape with only a couple small dings in the body and scratches on the pickguard. Its previous owner took great care of this guitar. There are no cracks, breaks or visible repairs.

Playability: Our in house luthier has just inspected, set up and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10s and it is playing beautifully with low action and a straight neck. The frets are in great shape with no grooves or divots.
