2001 Taylor 614 finished in the not so common Darkburst on Spruce and Flame Maple with a Taylor/Fishman Prefix Stereo Blender. The instruments structural Integrity is spot on along with its geometry. We just replaced the first 5 frets due to divots and hand cut a bone nut, so this one is better than new simply because it has been gently broken in through the years. It is a Dark Sounding 614 which is Rare for a Maple Acoustic/Electric. The neck is straight and true with a Ebony fretboard beautifully inlayed to compliment the instruments beautiful bindings.

Since Taylor developed the 614's body size it has been favored by both men and women for its comfort and ease of play. Cosmetically the instrument can pass for a lightly played showroom demo. Other than some minor dimpling on the cut a way that doesn't photograph there isn't any significant wear to speak of.

For the inexperienced shopper I can tell you that this year alone we at Moe's Guitars have traded 8 614's previous to this beauty and I have yet to come across a bad one! This one however is darker in tone than those previously in my shop, so its a treat.
