1935 Gibson L-00 Black

circa 1935 Gibson L-00 Black Acoustic Guitar, Serial #537-C. This is a rare circa 1935 Gibson L-00 in its original black finish, featuring the distinctive tiger stripe pickguard. The guitar has weather checking, dings, scuffs, scratches, and finish blisters, consistent with its nearly 90-year history. Importantly, the back is crack-free, though there are two very minor tight side cracks. The original bridge is lifting and has been re-shaped, and the frets are worn and low. The original tuners are intact, though one has been replaced and features hex grommets. Despite its current condition, this Gibson L-00 remains a very worthy candidate for restoration.
