~1958 Teisco J-5 Curly Maple Super Rare Model with Original Case Previously owned by Teisco Del Rey
This here is the rarest of the rare Teisco guitars we have had. An original circa 1958 Teisco Model J-5.
This guitar was previously owned by Teisco Del Rey and was pictured on page 129 of the Rittor Music (Tokyo) book 60s Bizarre Guitars. It was sold to the previous owners by Teisco Del Rey and paperwork to that affect is included in with the guitar.
The J-5 was among the earliest of all Teiscos ever made. It featured a curly maple veneer, two pickups, one of which is a stacked humbucker. A very small and smartly designed body. Short scale. Plays great with a fairly wide neck and a fantastic feel.
This example is remarkably clean, especially for the age and has been very well cared for.
It has been professionally set up here at the shop, and it's playing great.
Comes with original hard case, too.

We use UPS ground for shipping. We can work out overnight shipping on a case by case basis. Buyer pays all shipping charges.

After 24 hours, no returns. Buyer assumes all shipping charges. If we agree to a return, as in an internet sale, instruments must be returned in the condition they were sent. Shipping costs will be deducted from the return, and buyer will assume these costs. If we accept a return there will also be a 5% re-stocking fee. All merchandise sold is in used - as is condition. All sales final. If there is an exception made on any return over 24 hours, there will be a 15% re-stocking fee to the customer. No returns whatsoever on guitar parts.
