2016 TK Smith Custom Bigsby/Tele-Style Guitar

We’re huge fans of TK Smith guitars. The design and craftsmanship of TK’s instruments is truly beyond compare. Here we have a custom 2016 Bigsby/Tele-Style TK Smith that makes us weak in the knees every time we play it.

Every element of this custom guitar is perfectly executed. Bigsby-style headstock with figured overlay and custom truss rod cover in the same Bigsby shape. Aluminum nut, bound neck, vintage-style frets, and diamond fretboard inlays. Custom pickguard with cool handcrafted inlay work and Bigsby curves.

A pair of TK Smith C.A.R. (cast aluminum replica) pole-piece pickups are designed to produce old-school vintage tone. Go to the TK Smith website for a complete description of these pickups, but suffice it to say they’re optimized for vintage Jazz/Blues/Country styles, not so much modern or rock styles. We love ’em. The vibrato system is handmade by TK and it not only looks killer, it works great. Also has retro strap loops rather than modern strap buttons. 1 11/16 nut width. 25 1/2 scale length.

This guitar plays like a dream and sounds so unique. Great for old-school picking or finger-style, for sure.
