Mike Tobias is one of the most respected builders of custom solidbody basses, anywhere. His instruments can be found all overt the world in the hands of professional players of all styles of music, from rock to jazz to classical and more. While he still builds custom instruments himself, In the 1990s Mike sold the rights to build a limited number of his instruments to the Gibson Company of Nashville, to be made in their own facility, and this is one of them. It is beautifully built of lovely flamed maple laminated with straight-grained walnut; the neck has five laminates, Grover tuners, and a perfect rosewood fingerboard. The pickup system is a hot active one from Bartolini and the bridge is special heavy-duty, designed by Mike Tobias himself. Playability is fabulous, fast and smooth, and all setup by us right here in our own shop. Original hard shell case is included. Offered here at the truly bargain price of only $1995 w/ohsc
