The Enigmatic three different tone stack mods, emulating various decades of ODS Tone: 70’s Santa Cruz The birth of the ODS — from bar rooms and custom amp designs near the UA HQ in the Santa Cruz area, to decades of boutique liquid tone that led to mythical tone status 80’s Skyliner The late 80’s Skyliner tone stack modifications became an LA session scene staple — offering shimmery cloud-like clean tones with sparkle and a fabled touch sensitivity that suits intricate chord work 90’s HRM The 90’s Hot Rubber Monkey Overdrive EQ voicing modification created a reputation for midrange bite and presence with liquid sustain that lasts forever and retains note definition Looking for that rare tone that’s entirely your own? Flip Enigmatic ‘82 into Custom mode and go under the hood to design your own unique ODS voice in the UAFX mobile app. Mix and match different amp modifications, from the FET preamp and HRM overdrive voicings, right down to the late ’80s Skyliner tone stack option, output tube bias, power supply stiffness, and more. A hallmark of the original amps, Enigmatic '82's Jazz and Rock modes let you enjoy shimmery cloud-like cleans to creamy overdrive that blooms with dynamics. Whether you favor intricate chord work or expressive lead playing, you’ll instantly find the classic ODS sound that responds to every nuance of your touch and preserves note clarity when overdriven.
