~1966 Vox Tempest XII 12 String Electric Sunburst

These Italian made, 1960s Vox guitars are just about as whacky-cool as they come, and this Tempest XII is no exception.
The guitar plays like others we've had, and if you're a fan of them you know what I mean. They're a little clunky, but that's the way it is.
The frets on the guitar are in solid shape. They may have been replaced, though there is no pull out on the fretboard to indicate this. They just seem pretty full and unplayed to me, and the guitar has obviously been played.
All the electronics are original, as are the tuners. The arm for the vibrato is missing and I don't have anything that'll work on it.
The headstock - there seems to have been an issue where it appears that Vox glued "wings" to make the full headstock profile, as other makers routinely do. There must have been some separation going on, so someone in the past repaired and doweled the wings to stabilize them. This work was nicely done - there will never be an issue there again.
While I haven't done a great job selling this one, it is a playable and useable guitar as it sits. I was just being honest! If nothing else, the guitar would be a great source of parts for other Vox guitars that are in better shape but have some annoying or unworkable changes.

Select Standard shipping at checkout and your item will be shipped via UPS three-day-air. Select Economy shipping and your item will ship via UPS ground. For Reverb purchases, there is one cost option for these Eastern states and shipment will be made by UPS three-day-air. Shipments will require signature on delivery, no exceptions. If there is damage, the buyer must retain all packing materials intact and picture them immediately and send them to sales@maharsvintageguitars.com. Less than 1% of our shipments are damaged in transit, and we are committed to making sure your item arrives safely, but we are taking these additional measures to make sure you are happy with your purchase.

Returns accepted if the purchaser responds within 48 hours of receipt of an item and there is a discrepancy relating to the condition or originality of an item.
