1995 Washburn N4 Nuno Bettencourt Natural

Summary: The Washburn N4 is an electric guitar model, developed in collaboration between Nuno Bettencourt, Washburn and the Seattle-based luthier Stephen Davies. Since its introduction in mid-late 1990, it became Bettencourt's primary guitar and it is marketed by Washburn as his signature model. The N4 is the flagship of the Washburn N-prefix guitar models. This particular N4 is signed by Nuno Bettencourt on the back of the headstock and the previous owner says that it was even owned by Nuno. It is in fantastic shape and ships in its original hard shell case.

Body: It has a Strat style body with contours and a nice natural oil finish.

Neck: The maple neck has the signature upside-down headstock, ebony fretboard and jumbo frets. The N4 neck is a bolt-on type using an unusual mounting system, the Stephen's Extended Cutaway®, invented by Seattle luthier Stephen Davies and licensed by Washburn. It features a five-bolt curved joint, intended to give the player greater access to upper frets while maintaining proper and comfortable hand position, due to its 'heel-less' design. Pickups/Hardware: The standard N4 bears a Seymour Duncan SH1n (nicknamed the "'59 Model") at the neck position and a Bill Lawrence L500 at the bridge. It has a Floyd Rose locking Vibrato bridge and locking nut, master tone knob, Washburn tuners and three way toggle.

Cosmetics: The frets are in great shape with only a bit of wear on them. There are a couple dings in the top of the guitar on the top edge, some pick scratching throughout the top, some wear around the volume knob, a couple scuffs on the back and some small dings on the side on the fretboard.

Playability: Our in house luthier has set this guitar with low action and strung it up with a new set of 10s. It plays wonderfully up and down the fretboard, the Floyd Rose works flawlessly and it stays in tune really well.

Modifications: The back cover has been removed.
