Yamaha custom flugelhorn, Z model (1st generation*). 151.8mm single-piece yellow brass bell. 10.5mm small bore. Lacquer finish. Instrument weight 1044 grams. Comes with genuine hard case. 2013.
*The second generation (available from January 2022) has changes to the lead pipe screw threads, the seat between the valve casings (braze), and the threads on the top and bottom caps.
[Condition.]
There is a thin scratch on the side of the bell and a very small lacquer peel on the inner edge of the bell (please check the detailed images). Other than a few polishing marks, the instrument is in beautiful condition with no noticeable scratches, dents, or repairs. The inside of the pipe has been cleaned, soft parts replaced, and all parts serviced and adjusted.

Equipped with a reed pipe with a tapered tube, which is unique among flugelhorns of today. The reed pipe is equipped with a tapered tube, which is unique among flugelhorns these days, and allows for stable pitch in the upper register, which is the weak point of flugelhorns. It has the characteristics of a light and bright traditional French-style flugelhorn, and has been highly acclaimed in big band, pop, and horn section performances.
