高中正義氏が使っていたタカナカ・ブルーのSG2000を復刻再現したSG2000MT !!
SG2000では初のアーティストモデルとして出されたSG2000MTは1998年に限定220本で販売されたモデルです。
YAMAHA SGはそれまで進化を取り入れ続け、[新しさ]を突き詰めてきましたが、SG2000MTを発売するにあたり[復刻]というそれまでとは真逆の観点で作り上げられており、当時のOMG-I ペグに似たスタイルのペグや1990年代中期に廃止されたコントロールポットの固定穴が復活しています。
PUはSG2000MT用に作られた専用PUが搭載されており、ダブルホワイトのボビンが特徴的の一つですが、同時期の他のSGに搭載されているスピネックス・ピックアップと同様の洋白ベースプレートを使用しながらもマグネットにはOPG-Iと同様のアルニコVを使用するという2つのPUの良いとこどりをしている構造になっています。
