The flagship model Super Bass 1200S, the final model in the series, features the only through-neck construction in the SB series. Maple and mahogany neck, maple, mahogany and nato body. Original 8-pole pickups with 2 volume and 1 tone control. The sound of the early SB models, while giving the impression of being more like a jazz bass, has an excellent sustain and a slightly softer, thicker, warmer sound due to the through-neck construction.
