[Overview]
The first model of Yamaha Alto Saxophone 62 series. Lacquer finish. Equipped with custom G1 neck. Accessories: soft case, neck pouch, body plug (YAMAHA). 1980's manufacture.

[Condition.]
Scratches on the bell, bell rim, back side of the body, and U-tube. Some of the lacquer paint has peeled off on the octave, table, and palm keys, and the back side of the U-tube and bell rim have dents that have been repaired. The octave key on the body side has been modified in order to install a custom neck. Overhauled and adjusted by cleaning the inside of the pipe, replacing all tampos (CHANU plastic resonator*), corks, and felts.
In order to further enhance the potential of the *62 series, the tampos use CHANU pads made in France, which are used on the SELMER.

The alto and tenor models were highly acclaimed by Jazz players in Europe and the U.S. for their responsiveness and stable balance. The new arrival is equipped with a custom G1 neck. The sound has added density and smooth texture. 62 first generation favorite player,Dave Koz, the original favorite player of the 62.It is a great performer in a wide range of genres from fusion to modern jazz. This is a guitar with potential beyond its price.
