Tony Zemaitis' instruments have been in the hands of some of music's most iconic players; from Eric Clapton and George Harrison, to Ronnie Wood and James Honeyman Scott. This 1980 dreadnaught acoustic is a perfect example of what make Zemaitis guitars unique. The beautifully understated look of the maple body is complemented by an unusual maple fingerboard, as well as a highly figured birdseye maple headstock veneer. The extremely comforable "V" shaped neck plays effortlessly, feeling more like that of an electric guitar. With its distinctive double pickguard and "D" Shaped sound hole, this is truly a work of art. Like any Zemaitis guitar, the hand made details set this guitar apart from any other builder. A few top cracks were professionally repaired by Mirabella guitars in New York, and are now very stable. These guitars scarcely come up for sale.
