Circa late 1920s - early 1930s Gibson Style 3 Ukulele in overall very good condition for its age. This Style 3 is one of the higher end, fancier models that Gibson put out during this era - she features front and back binding, soundhole 'braided rope' inlay, bound fingerboard, and attractive pearl inlays on the fingerboard as well as the headstock front (one pearl diamond is missing from the fingerboard, see photos). The Gibson logo is also pearl inlay. There is a crack on the backside - approx 3-4 inches long - that our tech will repair prior to shipping. One the back, you will note multiple messages and signatures that were scratches into the back with a straight pin. These messages are all made out to 'a swell girl', who seemed to on her way to California - probably to hit it big in films. This vintage Gibson Uke will get a setup from our tech prior to shipping. Really cool vibe and story to this one - all the light checking is super attractive, and is testament to the fact that some showgirl used this as 'part of the act' - way way back then...call 859-261-5500 for an in hand description. Thanks.
