Up for grabs is a prime example of a “Good Wood” era 1991 Gibson Les Paul Special in a beautifully aged nitro TV Yellow finish, complete with a SKB 1SKB-SC56 soft case.
This Les Paul Special exudes vintage charm, thanks to its authentically aged patina, featuring lacquer crazing and a perfectly yellowed finish. While the guitar is largely original, the bridge pickup has been upgraded to a modern Gibson P90, delivering a more aggressive, biting tone that complements its classic character.
These '90s Les Pauls are celebrated for their quality, often referred to as part of Gibson's "Good Wood Era." A direct comparison with current Gibson USA models showcases the superior fit and finish of this period.
In terms of condition, this Les Paul is in great shape. It’s fully functional with no breaks or repairs. There are some surface marks, dents, and scrapes that add to its vintage appeal, all of which have been documented in the photos. The '60s slim neck and fretboard are in excellent condition, with all 22 frets showing minimal wear. The nickel hardware has aged gracefully, matching the guitar’s overall aesthetic. All stock electronics are fully operational, ensuring this guitar plays as well as it looks. This one weighs in at 7.93lbs.

RETURN AND REFUND POLICY We provide a 48-hour evaluation period for all guitars and amplifiers (unless stated otherwise). Customers are responsible for covering all shipping and insurance expenses for both outbound and return shipments, unless alternative arrangements have been made. Prior to initiating a return, customers must make contact to obtain a return authorisation. Returned items must be in their original condition. Unauthorised returns will be declined and returned at the customer's expense. Returned items are subject to a 15% restocking fee.
