Discover the Marshall JCM800 Modified, inspired by the legendary JCM800 that defined the sound of an era. This modified version honours the JCM800's iconic roots, celebrating its fabled status as the amp of choice for rock and metal musicians while drawing inspiration from the rich culture of modded Marshall amps. We've refreshed this world-renowned legend by adding modern features, all while retaining the instantly recognisable, classic sound of the original JCM800.
Initially introduced in the 80s, the JCM800 was a hit with punk rockers and heavy metal bands alike, delivering an aggressive, high-gain sound. In the following years, it subsequently became the go-to amp for icons including AC/DC, The Ramones, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Bring Me The Horizon, solidifying its status as the amp to have.
The JCM800 Modified builds on this legacy with modern features designed for today's guitarist. It features a gain boost switch, delivering unparalleled gain and tonal flexibility, allowing you to dial in your perfect tone. Seamlessly transition from smooth, warm breakup, perfect for classic rock and blues, to commanding high-gain roars, ideal for modern rock and metal.
Want to make your solos stand out on stage? The JCM800 Modified's added mid-boost switch enhances the mid-range frequencies, bringing warmth, depth and clarity to your tone, helping your guitar effortlessly cut through the mix. With this added flexibility, you have the freedom to craft your tone exactly how you want.
The new tight switch cuts low frequencies by reducing excess bass which can occur when adding extra gain. Ideal for down tuning, fast riffs and palm-muted chords. This feature tightens your tone, delivering a punchy and well-defined sound. This ensures every note rings out distinctly, even in high-gain settings, so you can achieve a precise tone that commands attention on stage.
The JCM800 Modified brings the classic tone of the original JCM800 into the modern era by adding the tonal flexibility today's players need. With even more control, each new feature lets you craft your ideal sound, whether you're chasing smooth, warm tones or high-gain roars. Honouring the original amp legacy as a rock and metal icon, the JCM800 Modified is ready to help you bring a powerful and precise tone to every stage.
