Roger Sadowsky is a creator, designer, builder and repair person for the top level professional players in New York and well beyond. He designed the Semi-Hollow to be lighter and more versitile alternative to the ES-335, with a center block that is chambered instead of solid. He says, "I designed a small body, light-weight, semi-hollow that would be able to get a traditional jazz tone from the neck pickup, yet be able to perform in big band or high volume situations without feedback." The pickups are two Sadowsky humbuckers, custom wound vintage PAF style. It's partly made in Japan and finished in the Sadowsky shop in NY.
This one is in practically as-new mint condition, with a lovely light orange shaded sunburst finish. It's a sleek, sweet player, easy to hold and fun to play.
