Taylor Limited 50th Anniversary GS Mini-e Spruce/Rosewood Vintage Sunburst Top
Created by the innovative mind of Bob Taylor back in 2010, the GS Mini has become Taylor’s most popular acoustic guitar. To celebrate the brand’s 50th Anniversary, Taylor has given its best-seller a fresh look, including a torrefied, custom vintage sunburst top and striking firestripe faux-tortoise pickguard. All 50th Anniversary models also feature a commemorative 50th Anniversary label inside each guitar and ebony bridge pins featuring gold acrylic dots.
GS Mini Series
With its comfortably scaled-down Grand Symphony body shape and friendly 23 ½-inch scale length, the Taylor Limited 50th Anniversary GS Mini-e SB model’s layered Indian rosewood back and sides’ chocolate and caramel hues visually complement the look of the vintage sunburst top while adding depth to the guitar’s sonic character. Altogether, the layered rosewood/spruce pairing on this Limited GS Mini-e yields a warm low end, punchy midrange, and clear, glimmering highs, while the thin matte finish allows for lively resonance.
Blending comfortably compact proportions with a big, bold sound that punches well above its size, Taylor’s GS Mini series models fit virtually any situation—from passing it around a campfire to playing like a pro onstage. Whether you’re looking for a starter guitar, an on-the-go travel companion, a new muse to inspire your songwriting or just a great-sounding Taylor acoustic, the GS Mini covers all bases.
ES2 Electronics
The Taylor Expression System 2 (ES2) delivers the latest technology in Taylor acoustic guitar amplification. The heart of the ES2 system is Taylor’s patented behind-the-saddle pickup, featuring three uniquely positioned and individually calibrated pickup sensors. The new positioning enables the piezo pickup’s crystals to respond more naturally to the guitar’s energy as it is transferred through the saddle, with three pickup sensors installed behind the saddle, through the bridge, with three tiny Allen screws that calibrate the position of the sensors in relation to the saddle. Together with Taylor’s custom-designed preamp, this ES2 system produces exceptional amplified tone and responsiveness.
